Evaluations

We offer Occupational, Speech, Dyslexia, and Feeding Evaluations using standardized tests and clinical observations for children of all ages. Each evaluation is tailored to the child’s needs based on areas of concern.
All evaluations are done in English.

Occupational Therapy Evaluations

  • Comprehensive sensory motor evaluations

  • Motor development evaluations

  • Evaluation of sensory processing

  • Assessment of daily living skills

  • Evaluation of executive functioning in relation to performance of daily activities

  • Visual motor, visual perception, and ocular motor assessment (handwriting)

  • Post-injury or post-surgery evaluations

Speech-Language Evaluations

  • Comprehensive speech and language evaluations

  • Evaluation of expressive and receptive language

  • Evaluation of speech skills, including articulation and phonation 

  • Evaluation of voice

  • Assessment of executive functioning 

  • Evaluation of fluency

  • Assessment of oral mechanisms 

  • Assessment of social pragmatic language skills

  • Diagnostic evaluation of speech-language abilities 

Feeding Therapy Evaluations

  • Comprehensive evaluation of feeding and eating skills

  • Assessment of oral motor

  • Assessment of sensory processing as related to feeding and eating

  • Assessment of motor skills as related to feeding and eating

  • Assessment of psycho-social performance as related to mealtime

  • Comprehensive assessment of current foods eaten

  • Evaluation of the oral preparatory phase of swallow

  • Tongue tie screening

Dyslexia Evaluations* 

  • Interprofessional evaluation of skills related to the diagnosis of dyslexia 

  • Comprehensive speech-language evaluation to rule out language disorders related to dyslexia. 

  • Assessment of phonological processing

  • Assessment of functional auditory processing 

  • Assessment of verbal recall

  • Assessment of visual skills including ocular motor, visual perception, and visual motor

  • Assessment of motor coordination and sequencing

  • Assessment of sensory processing 

  • Assessment of phonemic awareness

  • Reading/listening comprehension skills

  • Reading fluency

  • Written discourse fluency

*Therapists do not provide formal diagnosis of dyslexia. 
Rather results of the assessment are used by physicians and neuropsychologists to provide official diagnosis of dyslexia

Independent Education Evaluations

  • According to IDEA Independent educational evaluation means an evaluation conducted by a qualified examiner who is not employed by the public agency responsible for the education of the child in question

  • Provided for both occupational and speech therapy services

  • Evaluations are requested by the parent and paid by the school district

  • Provides an independent evaluation of occupational and speech therapy as related to academics
